I’m a new member of the Tripaw Club

I am starting my chemo this coming monday and would love to hear from other cancer survivors (I have osteosarcoma) on treatments that have been successful and some positive, encouraging feedback.  This has been very tough on our family.  We are optomistic with all the new treatments (holistic, western medicine, supplements, etc.) and will continue to become as knowledge and equipped to fight this thing.

  1. Hi! First I have to say that I love the pics you posted! She’s so adorable! I don’t have any experience with chemo, but there are great people on here that do. I’m sure they’ll give you some great advice. I have my boxer on a homeopathic cancer treatment. I found information about Dr. Loops on this website and gave him a call. He is located in North Carolina, I’m in Indiana, and there is another tripawd on here that is in Maine that is treated by him. He does consults on the phone and mails you the stuff. If you’re interested you can find his website. (I’m not sure if there is some rule against putting links in here)

Welcome to Tripawds! Sending positive thoughts your way for a smooth treatment tomorrow!

  2. Thanks Leslie! I will google this Dr. I do want to incorporate some holisitc stuff. the amputation was a must as she had a fractured leg (classic symptom of OS) and the cancerous bone does not heal and she was in tremendous pain. I’ll blog about how she responds to the chemo. the vet said the symptoms are very mild compared to human chemo. Stay tuned. and thanks for the email.

  3. Hi Leslie! how is Roxy girl doing? Grace is feeling good. Had a few not so great days, but I’m attibuting that to over-exurtion. She’s been playing and running around like crazy and I think she over did it! Anyway, I wanted to thank you again for the Dr. Loops referral. I spoke with him this morning in detail (yesterday for 5 min) and he will be sending out her remedies today. So, our plan of attached is to continue with the add’l 3 rounds of chemo (4 total), homeopathic remedies via Dr. Loops and then some massage/accupuncture via a holistic vet in the area. we’ve changed up her diet to home cooked meals, mostly protein, low carbs and some vegi’s. Sounds like Dr. Loops has had many successes with cancer survivors! I’m optomistic about integrating his treatment. Thanks again!
